Corn and Sorghum Harvest Almost Finished

Agriculture
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, 94% of Nebraska's corn crop and 92% of its sorghum crop has been harvested. Normally at this time only about 66% of both crops have been harvested. The USDA said that the last time this much corn was harvested by this date was back in 2000. Most of the corn still to be harvested is in the western part of the state.

While the warm weather and lack of precipitation has quickened harvesting, it is not good for the winter wheat crop.
